I made my c&c cage today and sectioned it off so eddie and the girls can see and smell eaxh other whilst waiting for him to be neutered, with a divider down the middle. . I did it previously for floor time for a few hours and he was fine, the odd sniff and squeak but this time all his doing is rumblestrutting and biting at the wires. will he calm down or am i better to put him back into his cage in another room until the time has come for him to join them? :x don't know what to do for the best :(

I would not have him near the girls as he is so frustrated because he can smell them and wants to mate. It is better to have him living in another area until he is neutered.

As said above, putting a male near females is just too stressful for them, i'd keep him away and till there put together for good.

Thank you for the advice, I've put him back in his old cage. I thought as much, just needed someone to tell me I was right and not being cruel by keeping him away from them

I agree, everytime the girls come into season it would be driving him crazy.
And C&C grids might not hold such a frustrated boar for the 6 weeks post neutering he has to wait.

Give him extra special cuddles until that time.

My neutered male Ed unfortunately got a whiff of lady pig not long after he'd been done and pulled his stitches out getting too excited. He wasn't living with me at that point, I adopted him, but it did set back the date I could pick him up! I'd definitely keep Eddie well away from the girls until he is allowed to join the fun!
