Men are revamping the bathroom (yay, at last!) but it's only metres away from the pig room...my poor babies, will the noise damage their ears? I don't think we could move them, and I think they'd be best staying in their cage. Is it too stressful for them?

I imagine they will be ok.
Keep the door shut, and hopefully the loudest noise won't go on for hours and hours.
Also explain to the builders that you have guinea pigs in the next room, and ask if they can try and do some of the noisier work outside or in the garage (things like tile cutting etc).
And whilst it might not be ideal, it is only in the short term and I think sometimes our piggies are more adaptable than we give them credit for.
I am sure your piggies will be fine.

My girls were with me for all of three days before renovations started next door - we're talking gutting the entire place and two weeks of banging, crashing and drilling! I just upped the telly volume to try and cancel out and sudden frightening noises and they were fine. Well, I say fine, they were subject to Jeremy Kyle at a higher than acceptable level :))

Animal abuse! Poor pigs.

Yeah, I definitely worry about them. I think it annoys them somewhat but they don't seem hugely bothered...I am, though. Still, they can burrow in hay, I can't. Although...
*distant rustling*
*squeaks of indignance*
*shouts and thumps*

...

Turns out I can't burrow in their hay.
