Will Rosie be OK to go in the run with the others today? They get on fine but at just 7 weeks and having been fed on just pet shop food I'm a bit worried she'll gorge herself on grass and if she does will that make her tummy bad?

(I think down to time of year, I haven't had to think about this one before)

As it's her first time on grass keep it to a minimum of an hour or so for now. They have to be slowly introduced to grass as they can get bloat - tummy upset

Agree, I wouldn't leave her in the run on the grass for as long as an hour her first time though but that might just be my own opinion. What I do is put grass in their hutches and put a little bit more in each day for a week/ten days, then put them in the run for half an hour for a couple of days, then an hour for a couple of days and then their tummies are well and truly introduce and able to handle grass. If she gets a upset tummy don't let her eat grass for 24 hours and then try again. :)

It can be quite daunting for them when they go outside for the first time too :o
I introduced grass also by putting in their cage (agree with you Cavy Crazy it's a good way for them to learn about it first)
Good luck love O0

I have found that is quite daunting for them first time to Glynis. That is way I say for their first time half an hour would be max. :)

I'm so sorry, I meant to put maximum! I did in my head!

I put Petal out with Jessie for only 15-20 mins first and then just moved the run on slabs for a little bit longer and she really enjoyed herself, spent more time running around after Jessie ;D
