I usually weigh the boys every 3 days, but I've been a terrible mummy and left it 5 days between their weigh in this time :x :red
Anyways William LOST a lot of weight when Keithy died and since then we have been feeding him back up - he has always been a slender piggie and not a porker, but when Keithy died he dropped to 1lb 5oz
Anyways we have managed to get it back up to 1lb 15oz in the past few weeks since getting Alan & Clive and he's been as happy as larry.
Now the weigh in I did about an hour ago put William at 1lb 10oz - he was 1lb 15oz FIVE days ago. So in five days he's lost 5oz 8...8
We took him to the vets about a week and a half ago she checked him over and was thorough - teeth, nails, ears, eyes, nose, body EVERYTHING and found nothing wrong with him rolleyesrolleyes I know piggies are so good at hiding illness, but there has been NO change in his behaviour.
He is bumbling about in the same old way he's always bumbled, he's eating - anything from pellets, to hay to fresh to poops! He's drinking, he's snuggling, he's batting the boys away when they hump. So he's not lost his spark he's just lost weight.
I'm going to monitor him and do two hand feeds a day of mushed up pellets to build his weight back up and of course if his behaviour changes I will whisk him to the vets.
I don't know if I am doing the best for him or what :{:{
ARGH! Why do piggies make us so worried!
