Willow is breathing a little more heavily than usual. She also has a runny nose, with the discharge being clear. But other than that she's acting perfectly normal, still eating, drinking, and even popcorning! I don't have much experience with respiratory problems, so any advice is appreciated! I can't bring her to the vet since it's Saturday and they're closed.

Really sorry to read this, hope she is feeling better soon. I think a vets visit would be best asap unfortunatly.

Healing vibes being sent willows way.

Oh no. Poor Willow. I would suggest visiting the vet too. Respiratory problems can esclate quite quickly... not to panic you. I know the vets are closed but they will have emergency cover.

Healing wheeks sent your way. Let us all know how you get on.

x

Thank you everyone. I'll get her to the vet as soon as I can. Also, I forgot to mention her runny nose started way before the heavy breathing.

I agree with others - these things are much easier to deal with if caught early.

I always keep some septrin, baytril and such "in stock" so if such a thing happens, I can call the vet, describe the symptoms and I have the medication that they would give me anyway so it saves a visit, just a phone call! The out of hours vet will probably be glad of this, but will obviously advise if they feel that the animal needs to be seen!

Hope my favouritest pink piggy gets better quickly!

Aw, poor Willow :(
Sounds like some antibiotics are required asap so would take the others advice and contact your vet.
GET WELL SOON WILLOW x

I'm the same as the rest, get her to the vet ASAP, I had the same with Bella, she passed away 24 hours later, not wishing to alarm you, but better safe than sorry.

Sending you and Willow much love and healing vibes. I hope she feels better soon x

The funny breathing started about 24 hours ago, yesterday evening. She hasn't gotten worse though, and is still acting normal otherwise

Aww, Willow says thank you to her favorite forum skinny pig and her friends :)

Her breathing is less heavy than it was earlier, and she just ate a bunch of grass and dry food :)

Kim, i've only just caught up with this thread, so sorry to hear Willow has been feeling poorly :( but glad she is eating a little and her breathing seems a bit better. Sending her healing vibes from across the pond :laluot_29::laluot_29::laluot_29:
