willow twigs - can piggies have weeping willow?

i have had in the past the willow from pet shops but they work out expensive for what you get. i was wondering if anyone knows whether weeping willow is the same and can piggies have the twigs off them. if so do you have to dry them out, use dead wood off the tree or give them the fresh twigs? i have planted an apple tree so that they will have access to those twigs but it will take time to grow enough for me to start cutting it back.?/

Willow: IDK - better safe than sorry tho
Apple: yes fresh is fine. I cut most of what my girls eat from the two trees in the back. I usually clean the moss off, but leave some of the buds/leaves on.
