Hi everyone i have a six year old sow and i noticed today she smells around her privates its a very unpleasant smell and i noticed they look sunk in she has lost wieght over the last 6 mths but i thought this was down to old age as she is eating well and is happy enough has anyone else had this in a older pig and what could the nasty smell be x

Sorry, never experiened the smell but I have an old piggy who eats and drinks normally but has lost muscle/weight over the last few months (possibly caused by a stroke). Hope someone can help you

i would suggest to take winjit to the vet for a check up especially at her grand age. i have girls but have never come across a bad smell. my piggies like laying in the piddle and that stinks :o :o :o hoping you find out what is wrong with winjit, sending hugs and healing vibes to you and winjit :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
