I thought I would create a little thread for my boys, although I am not longstanding like many of these threads, I thought it would be nice to have a place to put photos should I want to.
Winston and Reginald are their Sunday names, more regularly referred to as Winnie and Reggie. Winston is 4 and a 1/2 years old and Reggie is only 10 weeks.

Today I have a bunch of veggie time pics, as you can see Winston is quite the poser ;)
He is my old chunky boy, and we have a very special bond. Reggie is still getting to know me, but how can you not love that face.
The ones of Reg are not the best, he is a wiggly wee man and is still getting used to everything going on. (The area looks grim because it is in a garage, their hutch is nicer, or at least I would hope)

I understand that this site is UK based. I live in the US. I have noticed on guinea pig forums such as this one and also reddit r/guineapigs that the older British empire era mens' names are popular for male guinea pigs. Reginald, Winston, Stanley, Maynard, Alfred. I'm not sure why.
I’m not sure either to be honest.

My boy Winston is named after the scottish TV show Still Game. Reggie is just a name that goes with Winstons nickname “Winnie”.

Me and my family seem to find guinea pigs with very posh formal names quite funny.
They are more commonly referred to as Win and Reggie

Yes, it’s funny. We seem to like naming our boars old names, I had two boys called Bill and Ted. I now have a Hector, although that name is based in Greek History

They are absolutely gorgeous! Love Winston’s hairdo

Aww, what amazing photos. 🥰
Reggie's head looks practically triangular from that angle 😂

Gorgeous boy, I adore agoutis, sadly I no longer have one. I love your boys names, I smile every time I see them.

Aren't I sitting so nicely... more treats please :inn:

P.S - This position may look a little mean but it is the only way I can keep him still enough to do health checks on my own. My palm goes under his arms to support his chest and my fingers wrap around to support his back, meaning he stays somewhat still and I have a hand free to check his teeth, eyes and ears. When I have a second person at hand I get them to hold him. The longest he is in it is 30 seconds.
His arms are free to move around more but he prefers this position, I think it makes him feel fancy ;)
