:'( :'( :'( i have to find new homes for my recued piggies :'( hubby says we need to try to save as much on our outgoings as possible, and the piggies cost the most,so they have to go, I'm so upset but i cant put my piggy babies before my family (would sell the kids on auction site but ever so slightly illegal >:D) I'm expecting a proper slating from some people on here as i only offered to rehome a pair of sows not long ago (it never happened but even so) I'm so devastated by this turn of events, but living these days seems near impossible for low income families, we just happen to have just over the limits to be entitled to any decent help-maybe hubby should get the sack and we can live on benefits forever more, people who do this seem to live much easier lives than we do :tickedoff: sorry for the rant but I'm sick of living on the bread line and everyone else being handed money for no apparent reason just because they earn maybe £500 a year less than we do :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: oh well,I'm just hoping that someone on this site can help me out as at least then i know they wil go to a decent piggy experienced new home, but as our money is getting tighter by the day, if they dont find that new home soon i think I'm going to have to hand them over to the rspca, and i will never know if they find that special home :'( I'm so down about it all :'(

really hope you get help off here too...how many are you rehoming? I know piggies can take a large chunk out of your earnings, mine cost about 30-35 per month and thats without vet bills/extras like toys etc x

I'm rehoming 8 altogether, 7 sows and 1 castrated boar, they all live in 1 colony, i think the boar and 1 sow are spoken for already, and if so then i just need to rehome 6 more but without their shed and run, which may put people off,i dont know,i wish i could just keep them all,but like you said they do cost quite a lot if you keep them housed properly,my neighbour just told me to put them on cheap food, dont bother with hay and dont clean them out every week 98) i hate when people say such awful things, id rather rehome them than see them suffer like that after they have had the life they have :'(

I know what you mean about the low income thing, things are so exhorbitant now, even decent bread is almost a quid, let's not even go there on the bills and petrol. Thanks to the Government and their 10p tax nonsense I've also lost a chunk out of my pay packet and because we don't have kids I can't claim tax credits, it's all a mess for a lot of people. Things happen beyond our control and I really hope you manage to find a good home for your piggies soon and that you won't be taking your neigbour's "advice". ::)

Why don't you start a thread with the details in the Rescue section? Don't forget to put pics on and let us all know where you are :)
