Shes trying to bond her gorgeous boys as we speak! Fingers crossed everyone! :smitten: :smitten:
 
we came up with unexpected problems ::)

merlin backed down straight away and was a good boy. but then bob and munchie turned on each other, fighting over who got to be boss over merlin :-\

merlin was getting scared and hid in a corner while bob and munchie argued, so took merlin out.

all boys are back in their cages now and seem to be fine, apart from the odd rumble/hump from munchie. hes suddenly decided he wants to be boss pig ::)

I'm keeping a very close eye on them all at the minute
 
merlins happy, he munchied a load of readigrass, and is having a nap.

bob and munchie however :-\ neither is backing down yet. they are scenting like crazy, and munchie tries to rumble and hump bob and then bob chases him away ::) hope they calm down soon :(

i dont want to have to seperate bob and munchie

I find it better to ( i no this will sound harsh but ) just to stick them in and watch them but i do keep the hutch doors open just incase their are any fights so i can separate them quick but all their has been so far is humping and rumbling abit of teeth chattering but all was well 0:)

I don't let them see each other one day then put them back and try them again as they rumbling will just go on forever
 
Bumble and Bee do this when i try to indroduce anyone else, Bumble protects the newbie and fights with Bee, i just put them in the run for 10 mins then they forget all about it! Ive not been brave enough to leave it and see what happens yet! Good luck O0 dont give up yet x
 
Oh no, hope they'll be okay :(
I don't know what to suggest, maybe put some veggies in and with a bit of luck they'll forget they fell out in the first place! :-\
 
its tricky with my boars because as mentioned before they all have very strong personalities.

even if i seperated bob and munchie, and bonded merlin with one of them, merlin is almost at teenager stage ::) id rather keep bob and munchie together. i still have my back up plan for merlin

munchie just wont give up trying to hump bob at the minute ::)

jnenbnb, just to make it wierder, when i first introduced merlin, bob and munchie cuddled up together, and munchie was hiding behind bob as if leaving him in charge. then as soon as he met merlin himself munchie just went crazy, and turned on bob
 
Oh no Lez! Sorry to hear its not working as yet. Introducing a third is tricky. I thought about it with Pudsey and Eccles and introducing Sunshine but I didn't want to upset my bonded two. Maybe having Merlin living next door would work out better? Sounds like Bob and Munchie have a delicate relationship, is it worth rocking the boat? Good luck hun! x
 
I think that, like i said to you earlier the hardest thing is knowing when you seperate...

If it were me, I would just keep them all together until it looked like there was no other option but them hurting eachother, and seperate as a last resort, btu I understand that you dont want to damage bob and munchies relationship! :-\
 
merlin was terrified when they started arguing :-\ poor boy lept up to me and buried his head in my arm and wouldnt leave


ive had problems like this with bob and munchie before, and eventually munchie has given in, or munchie becamethe dominant pig, them bob took the role back off him!

I'm keeping a close eye but if bob and munchie dont settle down, I'm not sure what ill do next :-\
 
suprisingly part of the problem is that bob has mellowed out with age :-\ so hes given munchie too much leway, so mow munchie thinks he can be boss cos bob isnt as stroppy as he used to be ::)

i think they will be ok after a while. once bob gets sick of munhcie and puts him in his place
 
Just take some time and think about it, theres no hurry!

Maybe put some dinner in to distract them from eachother ;D ;D
 
munchies won :o bob will probably take over again later on. but at the moment, bob has given in, and munchies boss :o
