I have put off this task as long as possible because I am not looking forward to seeing their little faces when I clean Toby & Barney's grease glands.

I will start with Toby because he is more likely to play dead. I have MrS on standby for support. They will be going (individually) into the washing up bowl. I do not want to give them a full bath so plan on applying the shampoo to their grease glands and cleaning off with wet cotton wool pads. I will be using Gorgeous Guineas Just for Boars, I know that isn't the best stuff but it is all I have. I think I will have to start doing them monthly to keep on top of it. Might take a while get on top of it to start with.

I already know that Barney is going to be a nightmare and will definitely need a spare pair of hands.

Do you know what? They were good as gold! I expected that of Toby but Barney was such a pleasant surprise. Put them on the draining board one at a time (they were too big for the washing up bowl) with a mountain of coriander in front of them and once they got over the initial fear of being somewhere new, having something new done, they were absolutely fine. Barney didn't even try to run away. Certainly wouldn't do it without MrS present just in case one of them decided to flee though.

Just caught up with the thread :) So pleased to hear it went well. All smelling nicely, should stay clean for at least 30 mins lol

:clap:Yay how proud of a mummy are you right now?:raz:

Well done, another tick on the list of piggy accomplishments!

Lol! I sure am! The only thing I am left dreading now is if I ever have to feed one of them poo soup!

I've done my boar piggies grease glands couple of times and find that if I clean them monthly, it stops it building up. I use washing up liquid and then use gorgeous guineas shampoo.

Oh that is good news! Nothing to worry about after all :))
