Patchy and Coco used to love burgess timothy and birch bark hay so I bought 6 more and opened one up to find it was a different crop and not as soft and the piggies decided they hated it and never touched it even when re introduced to it a couple of months later. This was all in the period they refused to eat hay...like ever and the old burgess was the only hay I could get them to eat. Now they eat hay by the ton so I thought I would try the burgess out on them again and they are loving it so I ordered them a burgess and chamomile and a burgess with marigold and dandelion for their treat hay instead of their usual oxbow botanical hay. They have been eating the burgess with chamomile for the last five minutes so fingers crossed they will like it as it looks to be a lot greener crop than the timothy with birch bark they have been eating at present. They have loved hay one day and hated it the next, i'm sure just to frustrate me lol.

Our girls get fussy with hay too at times, it is a nightmare..... like the most important thing they eat.... Wishing you the best of luck and hope you are feeling better for being home x
 
They are slowly going off their meadow hay, can't say I blame them as we get rubbish looking straw coloured meadow hay here.
They seem to go through phases where one week they will eat not eat much hay and only be interested in one type of hay and the next week they will binge eat any type of hay like they have never seen food before.
