Hi all,

I'm a bit worried. My pigs over the last two days have stopped eating their fresh veg. What am i doing wrong? I bough some spring greens, which didn't seem to go down well. But things I have given them before like baby corn and watercress they won't touch now either.

They are getting plenty of grass and fresh herbs. Plus carrot and cucumber. Oh, and they're eating their dried food like its going out of fashion.

Do piggies some times go through phases like this? Can anyone suggest anything to get the back on fresh veg? We're throwing so much out at the mo :(

I think if they were off their food, they wouldn't be eating the other stuff. When they eat the dried food watch them closely in case they're dropping it. Often piggies with teeth problems look like they are eating but drop it cos they can't chew it. I wouldn't have thought that was the case but its best to sure.
As for the veggies, they may be just really fussy or filling up on grass. Try some other bits of food till you find what they like. Corn on the cob is quite cheap at the moment and red peppers. :)

Thanks DebbieR. I was watching Teabag eat the tried stuff last night and he defo is eating it properly, he couldn't get enough of it!

I think we have fussy pigs. They seem to try something once, go mad for it, then when you give it them again they're not bothered! ::)

Might check their teeth tonight anyway, just to be on the safe side.
Thanks

I know! I tell you, I worry about my piggies so much!

If only they knew how much we cared! All my two are interested in is Cucumber. They don't love me unless i'm brandishing it :'( :'(
