Hi,
Not sure if anyone can advise, have booked appointment at vets for 5pm.......
My male pig, aged nearly 4 1/2 was hunched in hay in his shelter this morning. His fur is fluffed up and looks not right. When I picked him up there are no visible signs of illness, just looks poorly and making very quiet noise (not usual purring) and laid still. I have just come home and he is in exactly same position. Offered water from bottle but didn't take it. He seemed okay yesterday, eating and drinking and moving about.
Interestingly I had to split him and his partner up last Wednesday as they were fighting really hastily. This has never happened before and they've always been in same cage. They live indoors, in our kitchen, with outside run and hutch for warm days. Now in two indoor cages, side by side.
Have appointment at 5 with vet but thought I'd see what anyone thinks. Very sad as much loved guinea pigs. Thanks,
