Won't stop drinking

One of my pigs has been at the bottle for about 10 minutes, there's a fair bit of water down her chest and chin and I've checked to see if it's coming out properly.

Is this anything to be concerned about?

Has he lost weight?
You should defiantly see a vet asap. It could be diabetes so it is a good idea to see a vet.

No she's gaining weight quite steadily, she's only done it once too. I have an appointment booked for Thursday

I used to but I started cutting down today because they weren't eating much hay

Its ok, i just know that guinea pigs drink after nugget eating sessions alot. Thought it could be that. But its good you are seeing a vet

Oh that makes sense, it still could be since I'm cutting them down slowly, otherwise they just wheek until I give in and hand them over

They only need 1 tablespoon per pig per day. If they are young, i dont know though. Def see the vet and see if they can find out whats wrong

I read that from 4 to 6 months they need 2 table spoons each, I'll ask the vet when I go though

Yeah I was trying to find the right amount to feed the babies when someone mentioned it
