Thats the spirit. YOU did nothing wrong lass. id done the same. We all go through life. what if . . . this. . . that. . etc. But sometimes we can't control everything. Chip could be taken as someone who saw. wow he's great. I had a Wonderful cat Gertrude who at 21 was bloody fantastic. i left him in the sun asleep moments l8tr someone knocked at door and confessed run over his leg. i was heart broken I made decision to pts. He did not deserve that after what me and him went through. 21 years. followed me all around . . wait and I'd carry him home on My shoulders. Rain snow whateva. Why did I leave him asleep in Sun. arrrrrrrr. But it happened and hard at it was/is. Miss him tho. Oh yes a him called GERTRUDE. took me a year or so to realise she had man bits. lol. x

My Auntie called her cat 'Sue'.... found out years later she was a he! Hahaha

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I really am wracked with guilt! It's the absolute worst feeling not knowing. Hopefully he managed to eascape, is eating grass and enjoying a wee break and will just turn up one day? Fingers crossed!

And I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for your loss, Gertrude sounded ace and extremely loved! Xx
 
Thank you he was very much. Guilt is hard lass. be strong and postive. He be loved whereve he is I'm sure. ;)

I know what it's like to have an animal out there somewhere I'm not know where they are because I have a cat that went missing ones and luckily he was found but A month went by before he was found
There is still hope

Oh how awful, I really hope you find him soon. You've just got to keep his face out there on social media, flyers around town because if someone has taken him someone else will see Chip soon enough. Good luck!

I think Woodgreen do an excellent job usually but on this occasion they have failed Chip and they have held their hands up and admitted this and they're currently making changes so this won't happen to another animal again in their care. They have put a request in for security cameras inside their oudoor pens for example.They feel absolutely awful regarding the situation and take full responsibility. They do not know if he was taken or if he escaped but they acknowledge that in either situation they were at fault.

In regards to the checking if cctv.... I didnt ask for cctv to be checked by a random volunteer I asked for the manager of the department to check... which they did days later and the cameras didn't actually cover the outside area where Chip and Baby were!

At the end of the day, ask yourself how you would feel if you were in my position?!

Please be assured this was not just in relation to your posts which I fully understand given the emotional turmoil you have been through. I know you didn't ask just anyone to review cctv but someone mentioned it being pointless having cctv not to look at it so I was pointing out why it might not be so straight forward.

It is indeed so sad that this has happened but at least lessons have been learnt and changes are being made to prevent this happening again. Again I know this doesn't change your situation but it would be bad of any organisation if they didn't implement change after something like this.

Thanks you! I really do mean it when I say Woodgreen have been lovely.
This is the first time anything like this has ever happened to them and I know they're gutted.

I can only imagine how devastated they, and you, must be. I really hope he does reappear at some point or that he was stolen (but by someone who is providing amazing care)
