Woodlands carrot cottage

My girls aren't fussed on them they have a good chew when I first put one in the cage then they just leave it they have one in with them now that still looks the same as when I first put it in. The birthday cake with the coconut on they devour in the first day .

My two are funny, after the initial interest they have not touched it 😕
Mine were the same. We bought 2 of them in the past and a smaller one when they stayed with Debbie at TEAS. Not interested at all. 😒 Hence the carrot boxes were given to TEAS in the end. Hopefully other piggies have enjoyed them instead.

I think it just shows how each piggy is completely different, which is what I love about these animals. I can hear mine chewing away at the house lol

Have you tried the boredom breaker tubes? Mine love them

Yep, they (past piggies) played with it first but after a couple of days, they ignored it and keep pushing it away. They prefer munching the cardboard boxes instead. So had to give the tube away to my hubby's daughter coz she has rabbits and guinea pigs. But my piggies love the fleece tunnels and they always use it. Most of their stuff are fleece now because they seem to prefer it.

I put most of their toys in their playpen which they are in for the majority of the day, but they chew anything I think lol

It's funny but the absolutely love a cardboard box with 2 doors cut in it. They take turns sleeping on top of it and they chew on it until there are no sides left then they get a new one lol

I always get my brother to cut an extra door in the side because my two girls are terrible teenagers at the moment (they normally get along fine but occasionally squabble!). It fits perfectly into the small kitten litter trays from P@H and I fill them with hay. They absolutely love them but never last long!

Comet and Blitzen liked carrot cottages for hideys. They'd strip all the good stuff off, make a big enough door for them both to enter/exit/squabble about, and then ignore them. Blitzen would eat from the top but I never saw Comet doing it...maybe he never worked out there was carrot up there, which wouldn't surprise me.

Its a great idea. I get my father in law to cut another door opposite the first as I've got boars. So we kind of use the medium carrot cottages as tunnels.
