I have recently added a bag of the woodland range of grain free pellets to the grain free science selective the herd gets and loves. I don’t want them getting used to one brand of pellet in case that brand is stopped for whatever reason.

The result? Not happy piggies! They will eat them now, but they are a second choice to the SS pellets. It could be because they are bigger in size?

When I gave the pellets on their own to try them, the herd ate them straight away. Odd furries!

Sometimes piggies just have their favourites. At least they will still eat them. I haven't tried my pigs on these yet, but I will be trying them.

Mine are the complete opposite; love the Woodland Grainless, yet the Science Selective Grainless is often left. As @Flutterby said, it could just be that pigs have their own preferences. Mine will eat Woodland Grainless and JR Farm grainless, but hate Bunny and Vitacraft for example (Rosewood Meadow Menu lies somewhere in the middle). Wish they'd enjoy what's good for them (i.e. the Bunny)! :))

Mine are fickle. They get a “muesli” of grain free pellets and sometimes they will favour one over another. But the winner every time is Versele Laga.
I’ve seen that name mentioned a few times :) Where do you get yours from Vicki? x

I feed a mixture too, like you @VickiA Versele Laga is first to go! JR grainless is last. They just eat what they prefer first and slowly munch through it all.

@Tim Zooplus sells Versele Laga, I get mine in a big sack from them :))

Same as @Cavy Kung-Fu I get it by the sackload from Zooplus. It’s always the first removed from the bowl so must taste really good. (Either that or the others taste dire).

My lot also get a couple of types of grainless pellets, and Versele Laga is their absolute favorite.
And @Danielle Smith none of my lot have ever touched Bunny pellets which is a very popular brand here.
My rabbits and hamster won't eat Bunny either!

Excellent, thankyou both of you! :luv::luv:
I tried giggling it but nowhere really came up I recognised x

Giggling it sounds so much fun!
I get my Versele Laga from Time for Paws, they do a 500gm bag which was good to try them out with first. I do a mix of grainless. They all like Science Selective, two love Versele Laga, two not so keen, one won't touch them. JR Farm are fairly popular, no one would touch Woodlands or Rosewood Meadow to start with but now leave them to last when they are in the mix.

Rosewood Meadow got a paws down from my lot, too. They were always left in the bowl or worse - lifted out and pooped on.
