hi, i no woodshavings should never be used after a boar is neutered but how long for? my vet said 2 weeks, friend said 4, websites say 5/6 weeks?? help me please!
i'm not trying to be nasty but do you have to use shavings at all? They're not good for piggies I used to use them when i didn't know, so it's easy to do O0 it's just they absorb some of the moisture from your piggie's skin which can lead to skin prolems and also the dust is bad for their chest Just thought i'd mention it, i know at the end of the day it's up to you O0
i'm not trying to push you around :embarassed: as i say i used them before i knew too, it's just they really aren't good for them and i'm sure you want to do the best for them :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: There are alternatives out there, the pet shops just don't usually stock them and they don't tell you how bad the shavings are :tickedoff: it needs to be more well known :tickedoff:
you could use hay on top of newspaper, or magazorb, auboise etc. O0 well done for making a really good choice for your piggies :smitten:
i just want the best for them and for them to have a happy life. Your right though, we wouldn't want to spend all our time on something that causes us problems. Thank you. x
