My tutor keeps nagging at me to get 4 weeks or more at a few work experience places to do with animals ::)

I just cant be bothered to write a letter out to send it them and have no idea what to put in it 98)

Can anyone help me please ? ?

In the first paragraph, put a bit about yourself: your age, schooling, what you hope to be once the course is complete.

In the second paragraph, put why you want to work there on work experience: its reputation, its what you want to do when you leave college etc.

Finally, write a closing paragraph thanking them for their time, and hoping that they will give you the opportunity to work there.

Don't make it hugely long it should fit easily onto one side of A4 paper! They don't want a book to read, and the manager is likely to be busy anyway. Print it out, don't hand-write it. You need to keep it short and sweet, in good, clear English with correct grammar and punctuation.

Good luck!

Thanks ;) Will write it out tomorrow maybe and see what i come up with :P Have no idea where I'm gonna go though :-\

Thanks - already have been to 2 places already but dont want to go there again as i didnt like it ;D

I wanted to work with animals from a young age & at 15 I was fortunate enough that my school arranged a weeks work experience @ a local vets,I absoloutely loved it so after that everytime I had school hols I wrote to the partners & asked if I could go back,I did this over a 2yr period, helping @ evenings/weekends & then being taken on as a Saturday girl,at the end of the 2yrs I was taken on full time & trained there as a vet nurse...that was 9yrs ago & I still love it.
Just keep your letter brief & to the point, tell them about your pets & yourself & that you're keen&willing to learn.
Be prepared...it's hard work & sometimes very sad...but worth it !
GOOD LUCK ;)
