I live in Scampton village, famous for the Dambust
I went to see my wonderful rodentologist last night. She worms the girls for my and gives them a good check over :) I just wondered how many of us worm our piggies?
Are we all aware of just what worms can do to piggies, I was looking in Vedra's book last night at a rather horrible picture of a piggy that had worms :(
I didn't realise that piggies could be wormed until I joined this forum and found my rodentoligist - Just one example of what I have learnt on here :)
And guess what? There was pictures of a sweet little piggy at my rodentologists and I said to her Awwwwww she looks like Fairy :) and it was :) She treats Fairy every fortnight for her toofy pegs :)

I said that I want her to double book my appt at the same time so I can give her a cuddle cos she is just so adorable.

I don't think the link works, I know Laura put a link for Fairy on page two of guinea pig with no teeth thread - (It's on page two of the Health and Illness section) Sorry, I'm a bit useless with how to do links!

Wow, I can't believe you visit the same rodentologist as sweet little Fairy! She's a very famous little piggie you know, she has half of America's piggie owners following her on Guinea Lynx!

I do worm my pigs with Ivomec and Panacur, it's a tiny dose once every three months and it's stopped the problems of unexplained weight loss. I still don't say it is essential, but I wouldn't not do it for my own pigs now, and I wouldn't not mention it to others. If that makes sense. :))

PS Not sure why the above link went funny, here's the working one:

:)) need to read up on that one then!

The foster mum I am getting my g/pigs from was telling me all about worming the g/pigs and is also a Rodentologist, ...................Rubybubbles wonders?/ could they be the same one?

Candy and Sparky, once I have had my RSPCA checkrolleyes! I can't get hold of the RSPCA lady, but will try again on Monday as she left a message on my phone, but I have been away this week

I have been so tempted to ask for a Fairy Fan Club badge, Fairy's owner has been sending them all over the world for free to all of her fans. The badges are gorgeous, have you seen them yet?

Good luck with getting your two pigs Ruby!

Seems Lisa has quite a following, it's great there are lots of people who know about her and trust her.

now if only we could have a rodentologist in the south west! they all seem to be in the east!
