Worming?

Hi I just wondered at what age you can worm your guineas? And how often should you do it.. What is the best wormer to use? and where to buy it from..?/ I have two babys at the mo, and just need to know the procedure..

There is also a natural "worming" product called Verm-X - www.thehayexperts.co.uk are now stocking it for rabbits and guinea pigs. I've not tried it with my pigs though.

Thanks for that very useful info...it read not to worm until 6 months...so will wait until then... What about bathing? What age for that? Is the dry foam shampoo any good which you can get from pets at home? Which shampoo do * recommend? sorry for all the questions:red Lin

No need to apologise for asking!

You should generally try to avoid bathing piggies until they are around 3 months old, though you can bath earlier if it's really needed. Shampoos tend to be personal preference, personally I can recommend www.gorgeousguineas.com - used this range for a good five years now and the affection for the shampoos haven't died down!
