hello people

because iv let my piggies out twice now hahaha and they have been eating grass, I'm wondering, will they now need worming?

thanks my piggie friends xx

Do guineas catch worms from being outdoors and eating grass, I'm not sure? I don't *think* worming (for guineas) is something you do as a matter of prevention, but I may be wrong. I have never had to treat my guineas for worms in the 4 years I've had them anyway, and they were outdoors a lot when I had a garden.

Here is our informative thread about worming:

Guinea pigs do seem to suffer less from worms than dogs or cats. If you feel unsure, have a chat with a vet.

Personally, I would only treat for worms if there is a possibiity that one of my piggies may suffer from them. I do, however, weigh regularly, so I can catch any weight loss early.
