worms again, will I have them?

Sexy was treated last year for worms. After keep seeing white worm like things a few cm long coming out of his bum occasionally. Well I saw half of one yesterday, and with him getting a new room mate next saturday he needs to be treated regardless of whether he has them or not. I know they need worming but I dont know where to get the stuff or how much to give them. He has licked my mouth this week now I'm scared stiff i might have them is there anything i can get from boots to take just as a precausion?

It is very rare for them to actually have worms in the way you describe. How do you know they were worms - were they moving? Did the vet confirm they were worms?

It just helps to ascertain if they are actually worms, and if so I can then advise treatment and prevention (for Sexy anyway, no good with humans I'm afraid :))).
 
My boys got this and I though it was worms but when i looked a bit more carfully it was just a build up of there natural lubricating stuff :)>>> they have in there sacs which had built up and was sticking out of there bum and had roled into a long tuby/wormy thing. :)>>>
 
That must be what it is then as it sounds the same as what sexy has, thank you both very much!:) They have all had ivomec at the vets today anyway!
 
I was thinking it may be boar stuff of some kind, either ejaculate or some other secretion. The joys of boys eh. :))

Oh i know!:)) wish they had stuff like that in the books. Poor sexy was treated for worms about 3 times last year as the vet seemed to think it would be worms (he didnt see the 'worm') It definatly sounds like boy stuff tho!:))

Ive not had a good year for vets my equine vet got it wrong 3 times
My small animal vet got it wrong .... my dog vet was scared of my dog (hes the softest big thing youd ever meet) and my puppy was given her 1st jag twice.... did you not see the programme panorama about the vets last week? x
 
i know! I have ordered Lice n easy for the lice! and now i know poor sexy hasnt got worms poor boy!
