Has anyone had their guinea pigs tested for worms or parasites? Is this something that should be done yearly? If a guinea pig did have a problem what would the symptoms be?
I treat my piggies with panacur as a preventative twice a year generally. They do go outside eating grass, they eat vegetables grown in soil etc. so I figure they could be exposed to intestinal parasites this way.

I do the same. But i do not test for parasites/worms. If you are a member of the Cambridge Cavy Trust then you can get free mite/parasite screening for your piggies. This is just for external parasites though, not worms.
