When I got my boys I was told that they had been introduced to kale so I thought that this would be a good staple for their diet. Only now am I reading that it's high in calcium and should be given 1-2 times per week whereas I've given at least one handful a day. I really hope this isn't going to cause problems :0

You can't change what you've done in the past so try not to stress, just cut down from now on. I've been told that a variety of foods is much more important than large amounts of any one food - i.e. a plate of lots of little amounts of mixed veggies. There are some good lists online of ideal things to give your guinea pig. My RSPCA book shows a guinea with a whole apple to itself and they're only meant to have tiny bits every now and then, so evryone makes mistakes! Try not to worry x

Thanks :) I've come up with a daily 'menu' for them now using a veg chart I found so that they get enough variety and a good nutritional balance. I just hope I caught my mistake quickly enough
