Hi all,
So I have yet ANOTHER question ha. I was just handling Effie, my female texel who is approx 8 weeks old now and whilst checking her underneath I noticed that her lady bits looked slightly more prominent than usual and that she had some hair stuck to it. I thought it would just be where she had been peeing so got a damp cotton ball and tried to clean it, however, it seemed to be very thick like a discharge around the area, a kind of creamy colour. Is this normal? Whats the best way to clean it because the water alone didn't shift it all. Thanks.

Are they properly swollen? I've just had my swiss sow back from the vets, among other problems her bits were very swollen and almost rock-hard. She has been diagnosed with pancreas/spleen problems and although I doubt it's something that extreme, it might be worth going to get her checked out.

I would think that your little girl is in season or coming into season.

Thanks for your reply lulu, i'm sorry to hear your sow has not been very well, hope she is better now. As you say, I don't think it is anything that serious as I have checked her again this evening and her bits don't seem as swollen now.
