My guinea pig George was walking around the house like he always does and sweeping I missed one piece of dog food and he scrambled up to it before I grab it and he took a few nibbles off from it and when I look online everything says it's horrible for them I took it away as fast as possible I am very scared some thing might happen to him and I love him very much 😞

Hi and welcome

Please take a deep breath! While eating dog food is most definitely not what guinea pigs should have as their daily diet, a few nibbles won't harm your George. Good that you have taken it off him promptly, though!

Roaming guinea pigs are like toddlers that will find anything you do not want them to stick their noses into long before you get there... ;)

don't worry my boy eats all sorts as they explore with their mouths. He will nibble everything once so all sorts of plastic, varnished wood, fabric have had the nibble treatment none of this is good for them but a few nibbles won't hurt and anyone who says their piggies haven't had a few nibbles of something they better avoid needs to free roam their piggies more.
