Hello all...

Pancake the little pig had a milky white liquid in his left eye but I read that this is normal on GuineaLynx.

Well this morning, his other eye was glued shut with gunk. I have to wait for OH to get home before I can call the vet but does anyone have any idea what it could be?!

I cleaned it up and both eyes seem fine.

Hey there love (omg as if you need more!) :(
Until you can get to the vets use some pre boiled (and COOLED DOWN) water with a little bit of salt mixed in and gently wipe away from the eye.......use a makeup remover pad or something like that as they don't leave residue whispy bits like cotton balls can......

Am hoping they can give Pancake some eye drops or something..........

Maybe someone else can advise i'm sure some of our lovely people will be on soon to help

Loves to you both xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I would use salted water as Glynis suggested. My piggies can get crusty eyes and I use salted water.

Hello, when I first brought my baby Elliot pig home his left eye was full of stuff and I had to bathe it twice a day and the vet gave me Fucithalmic eye drops. I was told to apply it once a day but I did a generous squeeze in the morning and then, after a few weeks of it not clearing up, I did a little bit at night time too. It took over 3 weeks to clear up completely and boy, was I ****** off at the place where I bought Elliot from for not noticing, but he's ok now.
