hi all well right at this moment we have one of the biggest storms happening, its the biggest one in the whole time i have had my pigs, its rumbling the whole house and making loud cracking from the lightening,
the pigs as most know are housed indoors but the noise is very loud, what i really want to know is will they be unsettled with this and how can i calm them or make them more comfy? xx

Have a radio on to absorb some of the noise, and have towels over the cages to give them a sense of added protection.

How are they reacting? do they look scared? When we had a thunderstorm in bristol a few weeks back i nearly fell off the couch but my two girls ran round their cage popcorning at every thunderclap bunch of weirdos! I would say try and distract them with extra yummy veggies maybe?

Aww, I wish I'd seen that, sounds adorable. I think dogs are more scared of thunder than piggies, the slightest rumble has Harvey running around like a big baby, even though he's a very large six stone Retriever :(|)

I have a radio in the piggies room that I have on most of the time. I remember reading somewhere that it can help soothe them. During a recent thuderstorm, they didnt seem bothered in the slightest, however when the phone rang they ran for their lives!
