Recently Teddy seems to be losing weight - I'm thinking of booking him into the vet as I'm worried but thought I'd put his weights up and see what people thought...

He's 10 months.

24/9 = 776g
9/10 = 830g which was a plus of 54g
24/10 = 760g which was a minus of 70g
1/11 = 747g which is a minus of 13g

I have electric scales so I'm not estimating readings and we do each weigh in 2/3 to check the accuracy

Sorry if I'm over reacting

He's currently on his own - we tried him with Jensen but he was really horrible to him :(
My friend was rehoming her boar and he was horrible to him as well.
He teeth chatters instantly then starts diving and ripping chunks out of their fur.

I'm looking into seeing Layla as she seems to have the closest rescue and seeing if he likes someone there as I know rather then him being unsociable we probs just haven't found the right partner for him although I have been thinking more about neutering and putting him with my girls.

He's eating and drinking and being as active as ever, it's just the weight.

did you weigh him at the same time and on the same day each week to get an even more accurate reading?

I think a trip to the vets might be in order... even just to put your mind at rest. it could be nothing, but then again, it could be something. Best to catch it (if anything) earlier rather than later

1-2 oz can happen; 3 oz loss is definitely worth checking up!

Wishing your problem boy all the best!

Do you have any previous records of his weight? He seems to be a small pig for his age.
Do be careful, if you take him to the vet. about any vague diagnosis, followed by an injection of multi-vitamins, possibly an injection of a steroid and a recommendation that his teeth need to be looked at under a general anaesthetic.

AHH Kira I hope it's nothing and Teddy starts to put on weight again soon bless him. He's so cute too I hope he finds someone he's happy with soon too.

Hope teddy is ok. My piggies weight can fluctuate by a couple of ounces either way..
