My 2 sows are outside in a large double hutch, they are on vet bed and have fleece beds in their sleeping area. I'm really worrying about them getting cold so I've order some c and c grids to attach a run to there indoor cage that they were in when they were babies, it's a ferplast 100. I'm going to leave the cage open then all the time so they have plenty of space. My question is do I leave them outside until the grids come so they have more space or do I bring them in in the warm in a smaller cage for about 1 week?. I'll be getting them out everyday but I'm at work the end of the week so they won't have as much space during the day for a free run?

Thanks for any advice
Ange

see mine are still outdoors also, my dad reinforced hutch by putting tarp all around 3 wooden sides and then buying and fixing tongue and groove slats to wood, and painting over it to help against weather. They have fleece cosies to burrow into and plenty of hay and shredded paper to bury into, and i use the snuggle safe heat pads
The tarp also covers the front of a night, and dad attached a grid to top front of hutch so that i pull it out and put the tarp over to form a canopy to protect against weather too
