Junior Guinea Pig
Help me I am worried about my Barbara!
I have had Margot and Barbara for nearly 3 weeks and they are now 11 weeks old. They are very healthy and active and eat lots and have gained rapidly in size too.
Babs is the more vocal and jumpy of the 2, and has been barbering Margot, but I haven't been concerned about that as they seem to lay close to each other and I know some piggies do like to trim the fur of others!
They popcorn massively quite often, reaching great heights, but the past few days I have noticed a new kind of movement particularly from Barbara who won't settle on my lap, even though Margot is fine and calm next to her. Babs does a sort of sideways popcorn where she throws her body rolling it almost like she is having a fit, and often lands on poor Margot making her yelp. Yesterday Babs even bit me really hard and drew blood and I am worried I might have a problem on my hands, and don't want her to bite again.
Is there any problem here? I don't know if I should be doing anything to prevent it; I tried to have 'lap' time seperately but they have also started to get upset when apart from the other. They seem to be fine in their cage.
Any advice would be great as I haven't had piggies for about 20 yrs when I was young!
Thanks x
