Hi

I am a bit worried that I am not giving them enough of what I should. I feed my boys pets at home guinea pig pellets along with Burgess Excel fresh herbage with Timothy Hay Dandelion and Marigold. I give them a dish of chopped fresh tomatoes, chopped broccoli, grated carrot and celery. They also get some babyleaf herb salad which consists of spinach, baby red leaf, Mizuna, baby parsley and baby coriander. I tried them with this last night for the first time and they loved it. They love kale too but I don't give this on a daily basis. They don't seem to be so keen on fruit. I bought a whole sweetcorn and stripped off a couple of the dirty outside leaves and put that in the cage last night and they love the leaves and nibble away at the corn too.

We don't eat a lot of veggies/salads ourselves so anything we get is bought especially for the boys. It works out quite expensive. Would be great if there was a shop that sells wee bags of fresh guinea pig food to make it easy for us all :-)

Can you let tell me if they are getting enough or if I am giving anything I shouldn't? Is there something I could be giving that I'm not? Thanks for any advice.

Thats sounds like a good variety to me. They should have access to hay at all times and roughly a cup full of veggies each. Mine, which are a year old, have about a handful of pellets, but I have heard when they are young and still growing they should have unlimited pellets.

I am no expert :)) but hope this helps.

sounds good to me, as long as defo unlimited hay. Have you checked out the Ratewatchers Menu on the search thingy, if you are in any doubt, check that out?

Thanks both of you. Yes they do have unlimited hay and also unlimited pellets at the moment. Will check out that website.
