Worried piggie mum - white spot on eye

Hello I am very worried about my piggie she has a white dot on one of her eyes and it sorts to be cloudy we have just noticed it and we got a paper towel and see if it shoes and if it is still there on Monday we will call the vet but for now is there anything you people can help me with thankyou

Hi! It sounds like an ulcerating hay poke. The best you can do is see a vet as soon as possible as eye infections can deteriorate very quickly and be more extensive than visible by naked eye. The good news is that they also generally heal well when treated promptly.

Thankyou and we are calling the vet on Monday if it hasn’t left and I have recently changed there hay to timathoy hay they were on medow hay and they always coughed and no they are on this the cough seems to go and the hay is softer so I don’t know if it’s a hay poke or just a play fight accident I am very worried she seems happy eating and drinking just trying to keep her non stressed and warm

If it is hay poke don’t panic.
It’s not uncommon and eye drops usually sort it out within a week to 2 weeks.
The fun part is persuading a piggy to stay still for the drops.
I suggest a piece of cucumber or some other suitable bribe.
 
Nickel had a tiny white spot on his eye and even the vet couldn't figure out what it was. It never bothered him, does it seem to bother your piggy? I still suggest taking your piggy to the vet.
