Hello,

I've had my piggies for a few months now so I would have thought all dominance battles would have been over by now!

Trixie, my dominant sow, just doesn't tolerate Luna being near her, they don't fight badly or draw blood or anything like that, and Trixie doesn't go out of her way to bother Luna or stop her eating etc. But when Luna goes near trixie she will snap and send Luna off running! Or sometimes Luna is in her hidey and Trixie wants to take over it so she will lunge in there and scare Luna off who will squeak in protest.

It just seems like a lot of stress day in day out, I just want them to get along, please help?

How old are they? Often it's a hormonal thing, my youngest two often bickered a lot when they were going through their growing up hormones. Tonks is a bit of a cow to her sister :))

My oldest two never had this problem, they were good girls. I didn't even know who was the dominant one until I introduced the young ones, Cissy is a very chill boss piggy!

They are almost 5 months old, does that sound right for hormones?

Yep that sounds about right :))

My youngest ones are 7 months and still bicker occasionally but less than they used to. Tonks is still trying her luck though, I constantly worry that she'll get beaten up for her behaviour XD

As long as Luna isn't losing weight (I recommend weighing weekly) and there are no bite marks or anything like that I would just make sure there are plenty of hideys with more than one exit and just let them sort it out between them, as hard as it is :)

Glad you posted this LT. My two are six months old and Jingle is always nipping Mistletoe who then squeaks in submission. It gets very noisy at lap time when they are in the same hide (I take M out and have her under a blanket on my knee).

Glad it calms down in time.
