So Tuesday I adopted two lovely girls from my local shelter. They are both settling in and eating. But one of my girls Willow is only eating hay and her pellets. So far she isn't eating any veggies. I've tried lettuce, bell peppers, zucchini, and cilantro. So far she hasn't touched any of it. Does she just not like these veggies or will she come to eat them in a day or two once she settles more?

It could just be that theyre not used to veggies.
am sure once she settles in she will eat them.
One of mine wasnt a great veggie lover, and managed to entice her with a small bit of strawberry

They are probabaly nervous , just give them chance to settle :tu:

I agree, give them time. soon they will be wheeking when you open the fridge door.

:D When I first adopted my two newest girls, Cedar and Aspen, in June, Cedar would not eat tomato, parsley, parsnip, sweetcorn or lettuce. But I kept offering it and now its only tomato that she won't eat!

Good I'll give her time then. I love your girls names their so pretty.

Great news, with new piggies for the first few days it can pay to put their veg into their hidey houses to eat as they feel more secure in there. It is great she is now eating.

Aren't they both gorgeous. Please be sure to post some photos of them in the photo sectio, be great to see lots more of them as the public settle.
