Piggies like to chew and keep their teeth trim It might be worth putting extra hay in her hutch (to keep her mouth busy) and try stuffing loo rolls with hay too. (They can nibble newspaper, loo rolls and cardboard boxes) You could also try wooden fiddle sticks and wooden gnaw blocks to stop her from chewing her hutch
Hi, yes as long as your wood is not treated it should be ok
Both my girls chew their cardboard hidey that i made them and there night one too
One thing you might like to do is use some clean toilet roll insides (the cardboard bit) and stuff them with hay, lots of people do that, it's great excercise for them
Putts wooden house originally had one door and one window. After several years of chewing renovations by her and her sister pitch (rip), the wooden house now has just one large french window.
She also loves to demolish her newspaper carpet. I' ve often thought off putting her on fleece but know she would chew it - she loves trying to eat her daddys trousers during lap time.
We bought ours the willow type sticks but they weren't interested either but when we got them the c&c cage and put them in they decided they'd start chewing at the bars so I managed to thread some of these in the spot where they chewed which seemed to help a bit.
