Hi I also find my two piggys eat there veg as fast as I can give them it carrots is what they like best and cucumber is next and you can not go wrong with apples, I dont no about you but thease are all things I have in so dont find they spoil. some extra tips of what I find easy to give them is sprout leaves, carrot peelings, cabage cores and fruit peelings waste not wont not they are as bad as my dogs dustbins lol. I did read though that lettice should not be given as it makes them toilet well. I dont own a cat but my two 8 month old jack russells tease and play with them when they are in the run the piggys dont mind at all infact I am sure they tease the dogs back. I would not say that piggys are very quite they like to greet you with squicks more so when you have food, mine are in the kitchen and when I am in the room I will hear them banging around a bit but nothing you would not get used to. My children and I handled the piggys alot from bringing them home while young which makes them happy to be handled when older but I dont find they mind if you handle them or not, they are in a big cage so have lots of room to run around they do have there mad half an hour a few times a day though. Good luck you will be fine with your new piggys enjoy.

Looks like your doing a good job researching , welldone :)

We buy them a cucumber each week then they get carrots , cabbage , cauliflower leaves and things when we're making a dinner and celery pepper and sweetcorn for a treat.

Mine are piggy by name piggy by nature though o nothing gets wasted in our house :p

Mine live in the converted garage so don't really need free range time but I do let them have run of the [secured] garden in summer :(|)

My boys get a tea cup crammed with veg twice a day and I mean squashed down. That is ok isn't it? I don't want to make them obese!

About question 3, it depends on the cat. We also have an elderly cat who's not at all bothered with the boys - they love him though and always run up to the front of the hutch to see him. Our cat is not a hunter and never brings us any nasty surprises home - if the guineas were sat in his food bowl squeaking 'eat me' he'd probably turn around and walk away. Our neighbour's cat on the other hand is a different story. He's an extreme hunter and is always bringing birds and water rats back to his house (he brings us the occasional water vole), he used to try and get into the hutches but has learned that he can't get to them. When they're on the grass I always make sure he's not around as he shows too much interest in them.

Only you know your cat, but from what you've said it sounds like he'll be fine with them.
