Worse Mother Ever

J-roc just twitched as I went to cut his nail so I cut into the quick I feel evil
Massive hugs! We’ve all been there, don’t worry hun. Have you stopped the bleeding? Try dabbing the nail in cornflour x

Mine are such wrigglebuts that I’ve cut Chewie’s quick twice and Rey’s once (all black nails) BB has only got away without bleeding through luck as she’s the worst wriggler! I just shove some more lettuce/cabbage in their faces and they soon forget about it!

We have all done it. Even my white toed piggies, I keep catching one of Biscuits toes - same sodding on each time. I’ve done it three times now but she wriggles like anything. I’m more forgiving when I catch jet who is black.

Please don't feel like a bad piggy mum, you are far from it! Accidents happen and we have all done it at some point.

I know how you feel. I did that with my human baby when she was a week old, made my husband do her nails ever since. She's 14 now.

If that's the worst you ever do to your piggies, you're a very good piggy mum. I was brushing out the cage the other day, and didn't realise Little Dude had come over to help, and I accidently hit him with the brush as I swept it across. Accidents happen. He'll be fine.

One of our girls nearly always gets a bleeder, no matter how careful we are.

Haven’t we all knocked a piggie or tripped over a piggie who was unexpectedly in the way?
We’ll probably all deal with nails cut to the quick as well.
Feeling guilty is part of the piggy slave job description!

Please don’t worry, little piggies are the worst wriggly monsters when it’s nail trimming time. If only they stayed still it would make the job much easier.
You are a great piggy mum x

I have done that a few times. My 7 are not keen on nail trims ...

Know what you mean about feeling bad. The guilt is awful. They seem to get over it nice and fast thankfully and are soon back in their cage whistling for food!

Oh my.
