Would anyone be interested in a fundraising auction on here for rescues?

I just thought as its been hard for every rescue this winter it maybe nice to do some sort of auction to then divide the funds raised to different rescues and the actual forum.

I'm not sure how to go about it as for our rescue we do them on facebook but I wondered if someone how we could do it on here?

Could we open a whole new categorie for 'auction' perhaps and then list each item?

Maybe rescues could donate a sponsor pack for 12 months or 2? Does anyone else have anything to donate- vouchers, products anything really?

I would happily donate some sewn things we have made, some jewellery I have made or something?

I was looking on rabbitrehome and they do this for individual rescues and I thought it maybe a nice idea for this forum to do something similar?

mybe 2 a year or something?

What does everyone think and admin of course? Maybe some money could pay for the extra 'categorie' (dont know the technical word)?

I still wish we could all arrange something similar to the 50-50 club i have joined at GRWE, half of the money raised goes to members as prizes and the other half is dished out to rescues.

It would take some setting up but i would love something like that to happen, for me it is so much easier to pay little and often rather than a chunk all at once.

I was thinking along the same line this morning, (a kitty pot type thing that would be split between the rescues at the end of the year).
Reason being is I'm makeing snuggles and cosy ect and i want to give something to rescue from it, but how do you choose just one?

There is a forum called 'Pledge A Pound' (www.pledgeapound.net) - we support 26 rabbit & guinea pig rescues across the UK, raising funds and sharing them out between the rescues.

If anyone is interested in helping the rescues that way you can donate as litlle as £1 a month :)

If you decide to fund raise on here please be aware that Paypal can be quite funny over some methods of fund raising unless you have their permission. Raffles are out of the question even if you have a licence from your local council to run them, as Paypal allows no payments that are any form of gambling. This includes guessing games etc :( But auctions are fine for fund raising :)
