...to put a neutered boar with two sows in a C&C next (obviously separated, but still able to see clearly through the grids) to a single un-neutered boar? Would it be unfair on the single (lonely!) boy does anyone think? And could it cause any behavioural probs between any of them?

I would welcome any opinions!

Well the girls we are hoping to get come in a pair, so we wouldn't split them up, and the single little boar has had a stroke and other health probs so we don't want to get him 'done', also, he doesn't seem to want to be physically with another GP, but is very happy to chat through a C&C divider! :)

I would think the un-neutered boar would go potty with the smell of the girls & may spend his day chewing at the bars to get to them.
I have a pair of intact boars living next to a trio (neutered boar/2 sows) but they have a solid divider inbetween & still sometimes the intact boys will sniff at the dividing wall  :)
I also have an intact boar living alone very close to 3 girls & he shows no interest in them whatsoever, i think it depends on the individual piggy :)

You know your piggy; he may be very happy to have the company of girls living next door :)

Thanks Niki, we thought that he would try and get to them as well, he tries to do it to the other possibly soon to be neutered boar at the moment, we had to put up wire mesh between the cages so he couldn't bite the bars!
