Would it be worth getting readigrass for the winter?

I've never tried this before with my pigs, but they love having grass all summer. They already get loads of hay, but would it worth getting readigrass too?

It's cheap enough and has more nutrients than hay right? So I might as well?

I have space for a 15kg bag . . . well my dad might start getting mad since I already have loads of dog food, cat food, rabbit food, guinea pig food and hay in the garage, but oh well.

I get a sack of it every winter - they have it in the evening as a goodnight treat from me when it's bedtime. I use it in addition to hay.

I got a free sample of this and my girlies didn't think much of it, they prefer just normal hay!

I'd definitely try some. Mine also have it in addition to hay, as a treat, and really love it. Mine has always been really lush and sweet-smelling. I'd be surprised if your pigs and buns didn't like it but you should probably try a small sample first, before splashing out on 15kg

Yeah i definitely think I'll try it so! Otherwise they'll keep wheeking at me and wondering why they don't have grass!

Some of them have got to like it, the boys are exceptionally greedy so they must!

I'll wait a while though, I might get another month out of the lawn.

Probably other places too, but that's where I plan to get it from cos I think they deliver to Ireland, but have to find out for sure how the delivery is. In the UK I think the delivery is only £2!

If you email [email protected] you could ask if they'll send you a sample (say you want to make sure they like it before buying a larger pack) then if they don't like it you won't have wasted money on a big bag.

It is a good supplement, even if it's just to add variety to their food. My local feed store sells huge bags of it for just under £10 which is fine if you have loads of pigs, but I just buy the small bale for £3.60. I only have 2 pigs so even that last a couple 4 months or so at a handful a night.
