Would the vet shave my boy when he goes in for his neuter?

I know I’ll have to ask the vet myself to be sure but could they shave him all over for me while he’s under for his neuter? He’s become matted and was starting to get matted before I got him and he’s just not tame enough to brush him or trim his hair yet though I think it would be easier to keep his hair from matting worse or matting back up if it was shaved atleast once so I could start with a fresh coat
 
You'll have to ask and there may be an extra charge for this as it's not necessary for the operation
 
Even if there’s an extra charge I’d do be willing cause he’s matted on his back end which I’ll probably try to get off when my moms home but I doubt I’ll be able to get it all cause he’s so skittish

I would recommend calling and asking in advance as they won't have left any time to do this when they have him booked in. I'm not sure if it's something they would be willing to do either as usually it would be groomers that do things like that
 
I can see your thinking with him being new to you to get it done whilst he is under... I am sure they will be able to help you if you explain and ask.. maybe they can do it once he is in recovery so just a bit sleepy... hope the OP goes well

Thanks yeah I got him in July with my female from people who either miss sexed him accidentally or just didn’t care and he’s just not taken to me quiet yet like Fancy has granted she was pregnant and really had a taste for bell peppers lol but with 2 hands I can catch her pretty easy but with him it’s pretty difficult though I’m trying with him and his rears all matted I’ll definitely ask them about it when I take Fancy and the babies in for the babies first checkup
