I have a large run that can be sectioned off into two. I am wondering whether it would be alright to have the guineas in one side and some of the rabbits on the other side. They would be separated by a metal run panel.
Obviously I wouldn't do it if the rabbits were worrying them at all - but if they all just got on with their business - weould it be OK?

My rabbit is often free ranging around whilst the piggys are in their pens or in their runs. They aren't bothered by it at all and quite happily socialise through the mesh though to be honest, most of the time they ignore each other. I personally don't think it is a problem.

it should be fine ;) they probably won't take much notice of each other, i have rabbits next to piggies no problems.

put piggies next to piggies or bunnies next to bunnies thats when the fun starts!

I wouldn't see why there would be any problem at all. They can't be housed together because of their different needs and the possibility of the guinea pig getting kicked and seriously injured or even killed. I think they'll be fine.

They will be fine! You might find that they like your rabbit too...all of my guineas talk to my rabbits when they see them and run up and down getting excited when they see my bunnies skipping around (mine are in a similar set up to what you're describing) ;D

Four of my bunnies are freerange next to my piggies, and the bunnies ignore them. The piggies seem really interested when they see the bunnies and squeak a little bit! :-)

I have put them out but they have spent the last 40 minutes or so hiding in their pigloo and won't come out!

They never came out of the pigloo (until I put them back in their cage - then they ran straight out!)
Are they always this timid about new things?
Silly piggies :)

I always have the same problem, I'm not convinced by 'floortime' or 'runtime' - mine just freeze in one spot or hide in their pigloo ::)

They do like the rabbits though, they're both curious about each other with no aggression

well in the summner i use to pt my 2 rabbirts in there run and ut holly and meggie run next to the rabbits and there where fine every now and than there use to look at each other

When Domino the bunnie was on his own,Fizzi and Piglet use to sit all together and even seen him grooming Fizzi the guinea pig.But now have Muffin ,Domino's new girl-bunnie and Boris piglies brother.Sure they will all be ok! in the summer time.Guinea pigs are in the shed for the winter!
