Adult Guinea Pig
I posted a thread a few weeks ago explaining that my boar, Barry was quite lonely and that I was attempting to pair him up with my older boar, Roy. They were getting on fine but then they started fighting and blood was drawn so I had to seperate them. He now lives in a hutch opposite the girls hutch and their runs are right next to each other's so he does get to see and talk to other guinea-pigs.
He's quite lazy and he just sits about in the run, I assume because he's lonely but I've spoken to Mum and she won't let me get another boar because she's worried they'd not get on then we'd have another lone boar. Anyway, I've got a seperate run and I was going to try and make a kind of guinea-pig obstacle course. I know it sounds daft but I'm trying to get him exercising because he's getting a bit chubby
and to give him something a bit different and interesting to do. I've got a guinea-pig tunnel which I can use, and I've also got some small fences, they came with a playmobil thing I got when I was younger and they aren't very high, I think he could easily step over them if he wanted to. Would the fences be too dangerous? I don't want to risk him injuring himself. Sorry I know it sounds like a stupid idea but I really want to try it because he never moves around in his run and it's not just because it's hot, he never moves in his run. I was hoping to try this in an hour or two, when it's cooler for him
