I always love the moment when everything is clean: the cage, my living room that my piggies use for free roaming.
But wouldn't it be great if this moment when all the work is done would last a bit longer?
And if it would take the fur potatoes longer than five minutes to make quite sure it doesn't look too clean?

But they have to feng shui their cage and make it more…homely and lived in! They’re secretly decorators who don’t like living in such sterile (nice, clean and tidy) houses…for all of five minutes

I clean the cage - it looks amazing , then 2 seconds later one of them does a single poo, steps in it, and smears it across the entire cage

Was just thinking this. I've just done the nightly floor time and fleece hoover. There are already copious poops. I often wonder how the guinea pig YouTubers cages look sooo pristine!

I have been known to squeak a little bit myself when the living room floor looks just like before the cleaning after the first floor time. Like this morning.
But I can see my piggies literally rolling their eyes at me. What's wrong with a little bit of hay scattered around?
And just think about the fuss you would make if we didn't produce so many picture perfect poops to place everywhere.

Sometimes I dream about handing out little brooms and wheelbarrows for them to clean after themselves. Wouldn't this be great to watch?
Of course the GPU would oppose this strongly.

Haha I find myself asking the piggies "What have you done?" to a particularly messy cage or "Who did you murder?" after they've had red capsicum My family think I'm crazy
