Hi, my Guinea pig pauly lives with another male guniea pig and around 3 weeks ago I found him with a wound on his face which must of been from fighting, took him the vet and they gave me anti biotics to give him every night and I also clean it, got to go back tomorrow again but it doesent seem to be getting any better with the medicine, I'm starting to get really worried, is there anything I could put on the cut rather than just cleaning with water like the vet advised

Hi! I would strongly recommend to see your vet again if the wound doesn't heal. There may be another issue at play(fungal?). http://www.guinealynx.info/fungus.html

Hibiscrub or saline solution are home disinfectants. Hibiscrub you can get from your pharmacy. Saline solution you can make yourself by mixing 1 tsp of salt into 1 pint/500ml of boiled, cooled water.

Can vouch for the Hibiscrub, got prescribed it for a nasty abscess after a fight between my boys and I had no trouble with it after the initial vet trip, a piggie first aid must have I think!

Hibiscrub is the best, you can use it diluted , Daisy had an awful abscess and my vet recommended that I syringed a mix of 1/10 with water and cleaned the wound at least 3 times a day, careful not to get it in their eyes

Hope this helps
