Go to the vets... ask the vet about the saline solution but if its not too serious and the vet doesnt give you anything use a lil bit of it :)

Definately a trip to the vets I'm afraid. Sounds very nasty. Hope all pigs will be fine.

BOYS ! I only clean mine pigs with hibiscrub but agree if bits are missing vets is needed to check it out and maybe anti biotics in case of infection, good luck

I agree with the vets trip, but for the record if its anything liek when birds have fights (only minor scratches but still bleeding) you can use cornflour to stop the blood, would imagine its the same for any pets, but probably best to ask vet that too

okay, the words chunks doesn't really describe it, it makes it sound alot worse than it is trust me, he seems fine but if it starts to look worse i'll take him to the vet

but if indeed it is a chunk missing then he may need some pain relief and antibiotics to stop infection getting in.

Don't mean to sound harsh, but if it wasn't that bad then why make out it was/is? You said chunks. :-\

i didn't know how to exp[lain it, we phoned the vet and they said to give him a tiny bit of metacam

It would be good to go to the vets just incase as well they could both be traumatized by the fight they have had no matter how big or small the fight is they can be traumatized, better safe than sorry with the cuts too.
Saline solution is fine if its watered down and so long as its not the saline water used for cleaning contact lenses.
I wouold suggest weak salt water instead, thats always trusted (and i mean weak, otherwise too much could be harmful or sting alot)
