Hello:(|) tend to lurk on here rather than make a post so be nice!

As some know, I don't own g/pigs but am looking. I am keeping a sharp eye out, but honestly I go on holiday early november then here and there over xmas so after xmas before I can really rehome anygrrrr

But went to P@H today@) so much stuff! Loved the willow toys and things, had a munch at the g/pigs in store, and was impressed with only 2 g/pigs in a huge run:)

So start me off with the essential buys please, note: can be from your fav online shop, I live 30 min from the town of Lincoln lol! Had to get kids school schools today hence took a lookeyrolleyes

ahh I love all your photos and ideas-c

Welcome! :)

I know, the cost is never ending. I thought that was it once I had them and their cage but I am buying them all sorts of things, I even have harnesses and leads but know I have no chance! Think I will put them on ebay! :red

I keep going on about it but when the time comes, let me know as I am a member and can get you contact details, http://www.preloved.co.uk are good for piggies desperate for homes... :)

I would say hay - lots of different kind of hay but only get one bag at a time.

Then also the herby things too. Like blackberry leaves, or clover and plantain. My guineas love all this stuff.

Have fun!

Lisa says Hay
:)p, theirs a surprise Lisa you have some very spoiled piggies! :(|)

I don't know what others find but none of my piggys have ever been particularly interested in commercial toys. They like tunnels to run through, hidey dens, some wooden houses etc to chew on and as Lisa said most importantly hay. Big piles of hay are their favourite thing in the world - a toy to run through, hide in and best of all can eat it! I've also gathered up a lot of hay racks over the years and spread them round different places.

As Lisa said, piggies love good quality hay and I guess you'll be buying lots of that.

The thing that seems to provide the greatest entertainment value for mine has been old cardboard boxes. Take all the tape off and cut 2 doors in them. They love them. They nap in them, chase each other through them, chew big holes in them and grab them and throw them around.

The final party piece is to flip them over onto the roof, clamber inside, do an enormous wee, paddle around in it for a bit then complain loudly when I decide that the box is too disgusting to keep and put it in the bin
